Tackle Football & Cheer Registration

Registering a child does not mean they are on the final roster. All athletes must participate in one IWVYFC evaluation for final roster eligibility.

​

During evaluations Coaches will have an opportunity to meet players and evaluate their skill level. After evaluations, Coaches will determine their final roster and make cuts as needed in alignment with IWV Tackle Football Division goals. After Coaches have submitted an official roster to the IWVYFC Board, teams will be loaded into the league registration system (TeamSideline) and parents will be asked to pay any associated registration fees at this time.

​AGE DETERMINATION

​

Age determination should be aligned with the League age grid. This year it was determined that age of an athlete on or before July 1 to align with youth football across the country.

Mascot (Age 5/6)

Freshman (Age 7/8)

Sophomore (Age 9/10)

Junior Varsity (Age 11/12)

Varsity (Age 13/14)

Cannot be in high school. All 8th graders must play varsity

​

*"Swing Age" athletes may warrant playing "UP" but this will require approval from parents, coaches, and board members.
